INFORMATION NEEDED BEFORE OBTAINING A PERMIT

Site Plan showing the location of existing structures on the lot; and the location of proposed structure showing the setback measurements to the front, side and rear property lines.
Complete set of building plans to be reviewed. Zoning does not need to to keep a copy on file for residental projects. A copy of building plans for business and industrial projects are kept on file.
A check made payable to "Coitsville Township" for the amount of the permit fee. The permit fee is calculae by multiplying $4.50 per $1,000 of estimated contruction valuation. Example: $100,000.00 project x $4.50 = $450.00 permit fee. There is a minimum permit fee of $25.00 for projects between $1 and $5,600 of estimated construction valuation.
The property owner or designated agent may secure the zoning permit.
.If the project requires a septic permit from the Mahoning County Board of Health, evidence of the Septic Plan Approval must be provided before issuance of the Township Zoning Permit
Upon issuance of the Zoning Permit, the property owner or contractor must prior to the start of construction obtain the building permit from the Mahoning County Building Inspection Department. (330) 270-2094. Located at 50 Westchester Drive, Austintown, OH 44515
If you have not purchased your building lot, contact the zoning office to make sure your proposed usage is allowed in the specific zoning district; and you will have the minium required frontage and building setbacks needed to build the proposed structure.
